Mobile Ballet, Inc., originated with the merger of two local ballet companies in 1987. Since that time, Mobile Ballet has grown and developed into a shining example of an outstanding regional dance company. Under the direction of Winthrop Corey, the company presents several productions each year to consistent critical acclaim.

Mr. Corey is a summer faculty member of the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, and recently served as a coach for the sixth New York Inter- national Ballet Competition.

Presenting a wide range of full-length ballets and a varied repertoire, Mobile Ballet offers three major productions each year, always including The Nutcracker. The Mobile Ballet Company comprises approximately 40 dancers at the Trainee, Junior, Apprentice and Senior levels.
